New for 2025, Carlow Garden Festival will be offering a dedicated bus service to venues for attendees.

Taking the bus you’ll be able to sit back, enjoy the scenery and chat to your fellow gardening enthusiasts on the way.

The Climate Action team of Carlow County Council, in conjunction with Carlow Tourism and the Local Link bus service are offering this bus service to support carbon reduction in County Carlow. Transport is currently the second highest carbon emitter in Co. Carlow, at 20.6% of the total carbon emissions for the county.  Introducing a bus option to the venues, many of which are not on direct public transport routes, will result in a significant reduction of car journeys. We will be carrying out an evaluation of the bus offering after the event and welcome your feedback on that.

While every effort will be made to operate the service as per the scheduled timetable, unforeseen circumstances such as traffic conditions, weather or operational issues may result in delays. The Carlow Garden Trail Committee and its transport providers accept no liability for any inconvenience, loss or costs incurred due to delayed arrivals or departures. Please note that while we aim to facilitate convenient travel, the Carlow Garden Trail Committee accepts no responsibility for any delays or disruptions to other public transport services bringing visitors to Carlow, which may affect their ability to connect with the bus service from Carlow Town to the Carlow Festival venue. Equally the Carlow Garden Trail Committee cannot be held responsible for any delays to the return bus service from the festival venue to Carlow Town that may result in missed onward travel connections.

We advise passengers to allow sufficient time for connections and onward travel plans. Visitors are welcome to ring Carlow Tourist Office T: 059-9130411 E: info@carlowtourism.com to secure details of alternative rail and bus connections.
